Flash Flood Watch Issued for Saturday Afternoon, Evening

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move across Southern New England, including Framingham.

The National Weather Service says scattered showers and thunderstorms will move across southern New England this afternoon, including Framingham, and continue into tonight.

The storms will be slow moving and capable of dropping 2 to 4 inches of rain in a very short period of time, which may lead to localized flash flooding.

A flash flood watch has been issued by the weather service.
