Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued for Framingham

The best chance of this weather pattern is expected to be between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. and could produce strong to damaging wind gusts and hail.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Middlesex County, which includes Framingham.

The watch is in effect until 10 p.m.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to increase throughout the afternoon across interior southern New England. A few of these storms are expected to be severe.

The best chance of this weather pattern is expected to be between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. and could produce strong to damaging wind gusts and hail.

Heavy rain with the stronger storms could produce localized flooding in areas with poor drainage. 

Translation on that one is to avoid the intersection of Route 9 and 126.
