A historic cancer study

The American Cancer Society in Framingham is seeking participants for a long-term, historic study on the ways a person's environment, genetics, and lifestyle impact their chances of getting cancer.

The American Cancer Society in Framingham is seeking participants for a long-term, historic study on the ways a person's environment, genetics, and lifestyle impact their chances of getting cancer.

These kinds of studies have been critical in identifying important cancer risk factors like tobacco use, obesity, air pollution, and others. In fact, these kinds of studies were key to discovering that smoking can cause lung cancer and that being obese raises the risk of developing several types of cancer.

You can find out what study participation involves by reading the FAQ at my website tomworksforus.com or contacting the American Cancer Society's Framingham office at 508-270-4600.

Thank you.
