This session, I filed a piece of legislation we have referred to as the Real Lives bill.
This session, I filed a piece of legislation we have referred to as the Real Lives bill. This is an important piece of legislation that gives every individual the rights we all take for granted.
This bill is supported by self-advocates, advocacy groups such as Arc and Disability Law Center, and the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
It gives individuals the right to choose where to live, where to work, and who works for them.

The bill is is cost-neutral. Other states have even seen cost-savings from this model.
