22nd Annual Spelling Bee Wednesday; Back to The Future Star Headed to Framingham

Hemenway Elementary School's fifth graders will stage Disney's The Little Mermaid Friday and Saturday.

It's Monday, and that means Framingham Patch has put together this list of things going on in Framingham to help make your week a little easier and more fun.

1. The 22nd Annual Framingham Education Foundation's Spelling Bee is Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 7 at Cameron Middle School. The adult spelling bee is the Foundation's largest fundraiser. Money raised is used for grants.

2. Hemenway Elementary School's fifth graders will stage Disney's The Little Mermaid Friday and Saturday. There are three shows - 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and a 2 p.m. matinee Saturday. Tickets in advance are $10 adults, $8 children.

3. The MBTA has scheduled a public meeting Wednesday in Framingham to receive feedback on train times as it plans to increase service on the Framingham/Worcester commuter rail.

4. Saturday night, the Framingham High School Drama Company presents No Place Like London: A Musical Review.

Directed by Chris Brindley and Donna Wresinski, the show features more than three dozen members of the Framingham community in a benefit performance to raise money for the spring 2014 trip to London for members of the high school's drama company.

5. Super Megafest 2013 comes to the Sheraton Framingham this weekend and will bring Barbara Eden from I Dream of Jeanne fame and Christopher Lloyd of Back to the Future Fame.

The event is open to the public Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Bedrock Comics in Framingham. 

Tickets will be more at the door - $25 per day or $30 for the weekend adult and $7 per day children under age 12 or $10 for the weekend.
