American Girl Tea Party and Some Students Head Back to Class Thursday

Don't put that packaging from your holiday gifts in the trash this week, as Grace Congregational Church will hold a Styrofoam recycling event Saturday.

1. The main Framingham Library is holding an American Girl tea party Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Join the library in welcoming Kirsten, its new American Girl Doll at the tea party. Bring your doll (does not have to be an American Girl doll), have some treats, make a craft, and meet Kirsten. The American Girl doll was donated to the Framingham Library by Adelaide Schwarz with clothes by Betty Hunt. Kirsten will be available for kids to borrow and bring home in the new year.

2. The library will close early on Tuesday, Dec. 31 and will remain closed on New Year's day, Jan. 1.

3. Framingham Public School students will head back to class Thursday, Jan. 2. Students at the Christa McAuliffe Regional Public Charter School will also return on Jan. 2.

St. Bridget School and Marian High School students do not return until Monday, Jan. 6.
