Framingham High Staff, Students to Stage Godspell This Weekend

Tickets available online for $12 or $15 at the door.

This weekend the Framingham High School Drama Company will stage two shows of the 1970's hit musical Godspell.

But instead of highlighting the talented student body, the performances will feature the faculty of Framingham High with the students, as part of a fundraiser for the Framingham High School Drama Company's spring trip to London.

The musical performances will be directed by Donna Wresinski with musical direction by Dan Moore and choreography by Teri Shea.

Shows are Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 at the auditorium at Framingham High.

Based on the Gospel According to St Matthew, the musical tells the story of the last seven days of Christ's life. The original and film versions featured Victor Garber as Jesus but a recent Broadway revival featured High School Musical's Corbin Bleu, and was visually drastically different than the original.

The Framingham cast includes Laura Beck, Chris Brindley, Aaron Coleman, Joanne Connolly, Ali Courchesne, Aimee Delaporta, Peter Eliot, Kate Giffune, Jan Graham, Stephanie Henry, Carra Herron, Mark Morabito, Chris Ocampo, Carol Virdinlia and the students of the Framingham H.S. Drama Company

Featuring a sparkling score by Stephen Schwartz, Godspell boasts a string of well-loved songs, led by the international hit, Day By Day. As the cast performs Learn Your Lessons Well, All For The Best, All Good Gifts, Turn Back, O Man and By My Side, the parables ofJesus Christ come humanly and hearteningly to life.

Tickets are available online www.showtix4u.com. Tickers are $12 online and $15 at the door.
