Give Blood, Pray, Exercise, Feast on Turkey and Get 2 Tickets to Paradise

Dunning Elementary PTO is holding a blood drive and silent auction in Emma Tierney's name to benefit Boston Children's Hospital Tuesday, Nov. 26 at the school.

It's Monday, and that means Framingham Patch has put together this list of things going on in Framingham to keep you informed.

1. Dunning Elementary PTO is holding a blood drive in Emma Tierney's name to benefit Boston Children's Hospital Tuesday, Nov. 26 at the school.

Tierney, a second grader at the Framingham Elementary School, is battling leukemia.

Besides the blood drive, there is a community silent auction, too.

2. The 19th Annual Framingham Turkey Classic Road Race scheduled for Thanksgiving, Nov. 28 sold out in early October.

The 3.1-mile race kicks off at the Framingham Police Station at 8 a.m. Expect delays in that neighborhood Thanksgiving morning.

3. Framingham Interfaith Clergy Association invites the public to an Interfaith Thanksgiving Service Tuesday, Nov. 26 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church at 7:30pm.
Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the Pearl Street Café and Pantry in Framingham.

4. On Thanksgiving, Mark and Karen Curtis with scores and scores of volunteers will feed almost 2,000 meals. The couple has been feeding those in need at the Eagles Club in Framingham for 25 years. Anyone hungry, lonely or struggling this Thanksgiving is invited to stop by the Club on Park Street between noon and 6 p.m. Organizers will also deliver more than 400 meals to those who can't leave their homes this holiday.

5. 80s rocker Eddie Money will perform a concert on Black Friday at The VERVE, Crowne Plaza in Natick. Known for his hits Two Tickets to Paradise, Shakin', Take Me Home Tonight and Baby Hold On, Money is expected to take the Violet Thorne Lounge stage at 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets in advance are $30 and $35 at the door. Pre-order tickets at www.violetjam.com. Show is 21+.
