2nd Annual Farm Pond Fall Festival Saturday

Kayaks, canoes, food trucks, live local music and more featured at the 2nd Annual Festival Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.

Centre Music House, Align Credit Union and Amazing Things Arts Center bring Framingham Downtown Renaissance's 2nd Annual Fall Festival to new heights this year on the banks of our beautiful Farm Pond in the midst of stunning peak foliage, said Executive Director Hollie Andrews.

The event is still free but new this year is kayaking and canoing in Farm Pond. Bring your own kayak or canoe or get one from Charles River Boat Rentals.

Food Truck Alliance specialties The Pasta Pot and Super Dog will be on site, along with Joanie's Cannoli's and Pie on the Fly.

Fresh fruit and produce and pumpkins stand by Fruitty Tuitty.

There will be hula hooping, nature crafts with the Framingham Girl Scouts, face painting and other fun activities for the kids!

The free event takes place at Farm Pond, across from Barbieri Elementary School on Dudley Road from noon to 3 p.m.

Bring a blanket and have a picnic and listen to some great music too!

This year the Framingham Downtown Renaissance has partnered with Centre Music House for the musical entertainment. The Framingham music store is supplying the sound equipment for the festival for the afternoon.

There are four bands performing at the festival this year. Each will perform for about 45 minutes said Max Preston Larson, with Centre Music House.

His band Big Bad Wold will perform about 1:30 p.m., he said. They are a Framingham-based group that performs original music. Larson described it as "country-fried soul, along with some rock, folk and blues."

Musical line up for the festival:

  • Johnny FireSeed from FireSeed Arts
  • Amazing Things Arts Center Act
  • Big Bad Wolf
  • Grooversity - a percussion-based Brazilian-influenced group
