Editor's Picks: Break A Leg Framingham High Drama Company

Join the Brophy Elementary PTO for A Night of Magic with Magician Matias tonight from 6:30 to 8:30.

Many weekends there are more things to do in Framingham than hours in the day, so below are my editor's picks for things to tonight, Nov. 15

Feel free to add events you think are worthy in the comment box below or post a event in the Framingham Patch calendar.

Friday:

  • Our Town Opening Night: The Framingham High School Drama Company opens its season with Thornton Wilder's Our Town at 7:30 p.m. There is a second performance Saturday at 7:30 p.m. This American Classic play transports the audience to Grover’s Corners in New Hampshire, where the everyday life is seen through the lives of the townspeople from the years 1901-1913. The audience follows two families, the Webb and Gibbs, through daily life, love and marriage and death and eternity in three acts. Directed by Stephanie Henry, tickets are available at www.showtix4u.com. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
  • Magical Night: Join the Brophy Elementary PTO for A Night of Magic with Magician Matias tonight from 6:30 to 8:30. This family-friendly event is sure to delight children and adults. The show is to be conducted in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Tickets are $5 per person (aged kindergarten to adult) or a maximum of $20 per family. Tickets are available the day of the event at the door. Food and snacks (hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones), refreshments, and other items are available for purchase to support Brophy's 5th grade class. Magic kits and tricks for sale by Magician Matias. Each child with paid admission will receive a FREE magic trick.
  • Framingham Hockey Adult Mixer: A Flyer tradition, Framingham hockey parents (and adults) are invited to a mixer at the Framingham Lodge of Elks starting at 7. Middle & high school Parents, alumni, Framingham Youth Hockey parents & coaches, etc - as long as you are 21 or older - are invited to attend. Admission $20 and can be paid at the door.
  • Brendan Cheevers Band: Catch the former Controlled Aggression, now the Brendan Cheevers Band at Nobscot's Cafe tonight at 9. No cover charge.
