SLIDESHOW: Catch a Performance of 13 The Musical by MetroWest Teens

13 is a high-energy musical authentically portraying the difficulties of turning 13 and growing up with witty humor; shows are Friday and Saturday night.

Framingham-based The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest will present 13 The Musical, featuring a cast of MetroWest students in grades 7-12, Friday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m. at Ashland Middle School.

The musical first appeared on Broadway in 2007. Teen singing sensation Ariana Grande was a member of the original cast.

13 is a coming of age story about Evan Goldman who has it all – he's popular, has the nice family and lives in the great city of New York. Then, his parents suddenly get divorced; and he is forced to move with his mom to Indiana.

Uprooted, he must negotiate his way through the maze of making new friends at a new high school while trying to become popular.

13 is a high-energy musical authentically portraying the difficulties of turning 13 and growing up with witty humor.

With lyrics and music by Jason Robert Brown and the story written by Dan Elish and Robert Horn, this comic musical is suitable for all ages, but rated PG.

Advance tickets are $16 for adults and $14 for youths and seniors.
