Below are my editor's picks for things to do today, Saturday, June 14
- Lutheran Church Car Wash: I know it rained all day and there are forecasts for more rain today, but the youth group at the Lutheran Church on Edgell Road is holding a car wash fundraiser today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds benefit their programming and Baypath Humane Society.
- Free Swim: The MetroWest YMCA's Clearbrook Swim Club on Parker Road is holding an open house and a free swim at its outdoor pool today from 1 to 5 p.m. The pool is open for the season from now through Sept 1. Memberships are available.
- Russian Math Open House: The Russian School of Mathematics is holding an open house today from 2 to 6 p.m. Meet the faculty, schedule a free math evaluation, enjoy math games for the whole family and learn why families of more than 11,000 students trust the scholl with their child's math education since 1997.
- Doors to History: Stop by the Framingham History Center to participate in the Doors to History Open House and scavenger hunt from 1 to 4 p.m. today. This is also a good chance to see recent upgrades to the "Four Centuries of Framingham" exhibit at the Academy. The Doors to History is a non-profit that connects the hidden stories and relationships between historic sites in Greater Boston. History does not 'belong' to a single town or city, it is intertwined through multiple locations and Doors to History is bringing those interesting connections to light. The scavenger hunt takes families to a dozen locations.
- FLAG DAY: The Framingham Elks will hold a Flag Day celebration today, rain or shine, at their Union Avenue location, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For additional information, click here.
