EDITOR'S PICKS: 5 Things to Do Today, June 7 in Framingham

Fiery blues, Shrek the Musical, Keefe Tech graduation day, National Trails Day and historic tag sale all featured in today's column.

Graduation Day: Today is graduation day for the Class of 2014 at Keefe Technical School. Graduation begins at 11 a.m.
Historic Tag Sale:
Rain or shine the Framingham History Center will hold its annual tag sale today from 9 a.m.to 3 p.m. Proceeds of the sale are in support of the Framingham History Center and its mission to preserve Framingham's unique history. 
Shrek: The Musical: The Performing Arts Center of MetroWest will stage Shrek the Musical, book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and Music by Jeanine Tesori, featuring a cast of students in grades 3-12 from the MetroWest area today, June 7 at 7:30 pm and tomorrow, June 8 at 3 p.m. The show will take place at the Dennison Memorial Hall at the Boston Church of Christ, 214 Concord St. in Framingham. Advanced Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and youth. National Trails Day: Join the Sudbury Valley Trustees, and sponsor Whole Foods Market in Framingham today, from noon to 5 p.m. for the 3rd annual SVT's Trail-a-Thon hosted by the Framingham Friends Meetinghouse, 841 Edmands Road. Pre-registration and payment required. BBQ after touring the trails.
Fiery Blues: W.C. Handy Award Winners Paul Rishell & Annie Raines will heat up the Amazing Things Arts Center stage with their fiery blues tonight at 8. Steel guitarist Rishell, who played with the legendary Son House, is a master of the intricate and rhythmic fingerpicking styles of Blind Blake, Blind Lemon Jefferson, and Robert Johnson. He sings with a depth and resonance that will liquefy your bones. Raines, hailed everywhere as the world's best female blues harmonica player, sings her own blues songs and also plays mandolin and piano, according to Amazing Things. Tickets still available.
