Many weekends there are more things to do in Framingham than hours in the day, and this weekend is one of them. Below are my editor's picks for things to do today, Sunday, Dec. 8

Feel free to add events you think are worthy in the comment box below or post a event in the Framingham Patch calendar.

SUNDAY:
  • Santa in the Studio: Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting the Access Framingham television studio tonight, Dec. 8. Tune in from 7 to 8 p.m., when Old Saint Nick will pay a special visit on the air-LIVE. He and Mrs. Claus will be taking phone calls from all the good boys and girls in Framingham. Do you have a special question for Santa?  Or just call in to wish Santa a Merry Christmas! Now is your chance to talk to Santa, live on television.  The number to call is 508-875-5403. Access Framingham can be seen in the Town of Framingham on Comcast Channel 9, RCN Channel 3, and Verizon Channel 43.
  • Caroling on the Common: Join Framingham History Center for a new holiday tradition! First take part in a festive gift shopping event at the Edgell Memorial Library featuring discounted items in the museum gift shoppe. Then join in the caroling at Village Hall with Voices of MetroWest while enjoying delicious treats and viewing a collection of vintage holiday decorations, including several from “The Dennison."  Santa will be there too, so bring your camera. In the giving spirit of the season, please bring a non-perishable food item for donation to a local food pantry!
  • Nutcracker Performances: Mass Ballet's 2013 Nutcracker holds its final two performances today at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tickets available at http://www.massballet.com/
