Editor's Picks: Things To Do Today on Mother's Day

Framingham High School Drama Company will stage its final performance of Disney's Beauty & The Beast today at 2.

Below are my editor's picks for things to do today, Sunday, May 11.

  • Explore Art: The Fountain Street Fine Art gallery will be open today from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. featuring its newest one-woman show Cheryl Clinton: Intuitive Navigation. "Within the work on exhibit is a developing story about memory, reflection and the passage of time. This story is still unfolding, the full meaning is part mystery, part time capsule, a bit autobiography with a dash of Grimm’s fairy tale around the edges," describes the gallery about the show.
  • Be Our Guest: Framingham High School Drama Company will stage its final performance of Disney's Beauty & The Beast today at 2. Tickets may be ordered online at http://www.showtix4u.com and may be available at the door.
  • Spins and Cotton Candy: Today is the final day of the Rotary-sponsored carnival at the Pinefield Plaza in Saxonville. The carnival will be open today from 1 to 8 p.m.  Ride tickets are $1 each, 20 tix for $18, 30 tix for $36. Cost per ride varies from 3 or 4 tickets to 6. Food & games are separate. Portion of the proceeds help the Framingham Rotary club fund community service projects. The midway is supplied by Cushing Amusements.
