UPDATED: Family Treasure Hunt in Framingham and Pow Wow In Natick

Editor's picks for things to do this weekend in Framingham.

Many weekends there are more things to do in Framingham than hours in the day, so below are my picks for things to do this weekend.

Feel free to add events you think are worthy in the comment box below or post a event in the Framingham Patch calendar.

Saturday:

  • Pow Wow: Hosted by the Praying Indians of Natick Tribe, this pow wow is held the last full weekend of September every year at Cochituate State Park in Natick. This free family event opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. Events include the honoring of the Elders, special guests, singing, dancing, storytelling, food, etc.
  • Hydroponics Opening: New England Hydroponics will hold a grand opening party today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Learn about hydroponics and indoor gardening, raffles, food & refreshments, and WBOS 92.9 will on site giving away free concert tickets from 2 to 4 p.m.

Sunday:
  • Treasurer Hunt: Outdoors RX, a project of The Applachain Mountain Club, is holding a family treasure hunt along the Carol Getchell Trail starting at 1 p.m. at the Danforth Bridge. Experienced letterboxers and first-timers are invited to come out to follow the clues for the Matryoshka series: http://www.atlasquest.com/showinfo.html?gBoxId=144822 Bring a journal to record stamps, or use paper & ink provided. The event will be cancelled if it rains.  Pre-registration is not required.
