Framingham to Host Marching Band Competition Sunday

Public is invited at $10 for adults and $8 for students.

Bowditch Field will be alive with the sound of music Sunday afternoon, as Framingham High will host the New England Scholastic Band Association's Marching Band Fall Festival.

Music starts at 1 p.m. and the public is invited. $10 for adults and $8 for students. The event is co-sponsored by Framingham Parks & Recreation Department with Framingham High School.

With more than 50 students, Framingham High's marching band has been practicing its music and marching on Tuesday night and Saturday afternoons. The marching band is an after-school activity this year. Besides festivals and competitions, the band also performs at halftime at football games.

This season's field show is called "Storm" and is arranged by Andy Jasinski, Fuller Middle School's band director and Framingham High's marching band's visual director along with Brian Cervone, Framingham High's Instrumental Music Director and Framingham High's Marching Band's Director.

Order of performance on Sunday is:
Marching Band Division 1: 
Joseph Case Cardinals Marching Band

Marching Band Division 2: 
Weymouth Wildcat Marching Band
Somerset-Berkley Regional Blue Raider Marching Band

Marching Band Division 3: 
Oakmont-Overlook Marching Spartans
Framingham Flyer Marching Band

Marching Band Division 4: 
Stoughton High School Marching Black Knights
