Butterworth Park is one of Framingham's most historical parks. Mr. Butterworth was one of three famous park commissioners (Winch and Bowditch being the others) who helped shape the Framingham park system in the 1920s - 40s. Framingham-Natick Thanksgiving football games were played here in the early 1900s. The park features baseball and softball fields, spectator stands, a playground, basketball hoop and tennis courts.
