Such a shame. So many youngsters trying to get into this country to get away from deplorable livingRead More conditions. What they would give to have the chance that this one and his cronies flushed down the toilet.

What I don't understand is; if they haven't tried the actual (alleged) bomber himself, how can theyRead More convict this guy of colluding with the bomber if we don't (yet) legally know who the bomber is?? I'm no attorney, but seems that there's something wrong here??

Shoplifting cost us all, we pay higher prices for goods because of these idiots. They may not beRead More violent offenders but they should be off the street & this is a good way to find them. I do wish the Patch would proofread its own articles though.

The Mass Most Wanted Website focuses on showcasing criminals at large that were caught on camera orRead More video, making an accurate ID more possible. Most of the criminals featured are shoplifters and bankrobbers because it is rare for someone to get video or photos ofhe person who murdered or raped them.

Grandmothers in this area....we are very concerned to find out this information that is made publicRead More is happening again as before, as to the one living on Concord Street approximately 4-5 yrs. We now have many children walking to school due to new busing rules. and I am sure that our Police Department along with Chief Ferguson are handling this problem in a professional manner and hopefully will change the bylaws if needed.
Harold J. Wolfe July 21, 2014 at 02:52 pm
I'd rather be warmed that I lived within a mile of a poorly educated police officer who more thanRead More likely to use his/her gun on me. The blue-shirted open carry gang is far more dangerous.
Mary Gonzales July 21, 2014 at 04:14 pm
WOW! More than 60 Level 2 and 15 level 3 sex offenders live in Framingham. I know everyone is upsetRead More about this one but that is a lot!! I wonder if we have the most sex offenders registered in town compared to all of our neighbors because we don't have a bylaw? Who would be responsible for changing the bylaw? Police? Selectmen? Town Meeting? Who should we contact. I think we need to make Framingham safer for all.

Drew, I thought the mystery you were going to call out was around how she managed to miss mortgageRead More payments for five years without anyone investigating before now!

Good point! Didn't dawn on me at the time.

This is an older story. The bills were being paid on time via "auto pay". It was whenRead More the accounts went dry that things started unraveling.

Susan... I have a question... Why did we not get the police message n our phones about this?? I haveRead More always gotten a call when a child went missing as well as an update when the child was found. This is so weird that it was not done this morning. I sure hope he turns up safe and sound
Mark Cain July 15, 2014 at 10:24 pm
Good call jojo!!
Susan Petroni July 15, 2014 at 10:38 pm
@JoJo - Missing person report filed, but many times with teens (not children) they are consideredRead More possible runaways, so there is a delay, unless an emergency, to notify the public. But I always allow parents to submit to Patch ASAP, as long as a police report has been filed. Many weeks, I see more than a half dozen missing juveniles reported in the Framingham Police log.

Why on earth is an 87 year old still allowed to drive??? That is just an accident waiting to happenRead More and this lady just proved me right!
D Penta July 14, 2014 at 05:55 pm
Central Street is a speedway. There must be a crash a day on that stretch! I bet the neighbors can'tRead More wait for the Central Street bridge to close so they can stop seeing these crashes!!

Framingham's Mayor July 12, 2014 at 11:07 am
stop calling foreigners FRAMINGHAM MEN !!!!
Mary Gonzales July 12, 2014 at 12:00 pm
Hey Framingham Mayor - where does it says he is a foreigner? My grandparents, my parents and myselfRead More were all born in the United States. You can't judge someone's status by their last name. But then again I'm commenting to someone who thinks he is the Mayor of Framingham. We are a town not a city - there is no mayor and how about using your real name - instead of hiding behind that title - that is useless!

My husband and I were crossing in the crosswalk to get Bella Costa for dinner last night and bothRead More sides of the traffic had stopped for us, someone came down the street heading towards Rt 9 and thought I'm going to go around these people and had to slam on his breaks when he realized traffic had actually stopped so that we could cross the street. You can do all the right things as a pedestrian, but some drivers are distracted and always in a hurry. I read about hit and runs all the time and something needs to be done, we need to get creative and figure this out. I think most drivers are paying attention, but many do not.
Theresa Marie Gardner July 12, 2014 at 08:17 am
Thank you all for your POSITIVE comments it means alot to me. I am also a walker and walk everywhereRead More and every crossing light i come to expires when i am in the middle of the road. Things have to change for us pedestrians its very dangerous out there. If you read the lawbook on driving it states you MUST stop for a pedestrian and are not allowed to continue untill that person is all the way across the street and on the sidewalk. Dont be in such a rush to get to your destination us walkers are in a rush also but we still have to follow the rules. And to let you all know my daughter has sustained leg injuries and her 2 year old son (who has cerabel palsey which makes pushing the stroller harder) is still reliving this nightmare it has effected him emotionally..
Mary Gonzales July 12, 2014 at 12:02 pm
Theresa - glad the injuries to your daughter were not too serious, but still an incident that shouldRead More never have happened! I have witness many a pedestrian almost get struck as drivers are in a hurry or not paying attention to those already in the crosswalk. Prayers for your family!

The traffic was worse heading north through downtown than it was south for a change...

whats next if you smell alcohol no sobriety test
Laura Rodriguez July 16, 2014 at 05:46 pm
I agree with this, even with alcohol just because you can smell it you can't tell if a person hasRead More only had one drink or has had several. What if someone had a drink spilled on them at a party? The smell shouldn't be the only proof to justify a search. Under the 4th amendment of the Constitution, we are protected against unlawful search and seizure. With that being said, the police should have more viable proof that a person is under the influence in order to administer a sobriety test.

I remember less than a decade ago, while my car was parked in a parking lot a few hundred yards awayRead More from where I was standing, a marblehead police officer saying he was going to go search my car and if he found even one seed from a marijuana plant he would charge me with a felony.

NSTAR is normally very helpful re damaged or burnt out lights. Get the pole number from the metalRead More decal tag and NSTAR will give you a service date and confirmation number for followup.
-M July 10, 2014 at 04:46 pm
I've always had to contact NSTAR for street light outages. In fact, if you call the city, they tellRead More you to call NSTAR.

Tara Alves July 14, 2014 Framingham, MA. Just wanted you all to know that The man who got draggedRead More by a vehicle a few feet. The next day he was up and out with no shirt on watering his plants and no visible wounds or scrapeing. Just a bruise. the news CH 7 reporter lady said because he might of stated or not stated he was electrocuted by the cable wire. Raiseing eyebrows. Adding an unexpected twist.
