Framingham High School, located in the Saxonville section of town, has almost 2,200 students in grades nineMore through twelve. The school's mascot is the Flyers. The school colors are navy blue and white. The school's principal is Michael Welch.

The current high school is the former Framingham North High school. In 1963, the town split into Framingham North and Framingham South high schools. In 1991, the two schools combined again.

 About 15% of the students received special education services.

On October 20, 1994, President Bill Clinton signed the Improving America's School Act in Framingham High's gym.

Framingham High School television, or FHS TV, is a student-produced television station that broadcasts from FraminghamMore High School. Students also comprise the on-air talent. Television production classes are taught by Dan Devlen, who is the executive producer of the live Flyer News broadcast, the station's signature show. FHS TV also produces and televises Framingham High sports. Unlike in other communities where the local cable access station covers high school sports, FHS TV produces and televises many high school events and school committee meetings. The studio is state-of-the-art and contains all of the technology found in professional-level television production facilities.

Framingham Youth Hockey is run out of the arena, and severalMore schools and groups play hockey and figure skate there, including Framingham High School and Middle School, and Framingham State University. His office was in the Joseph Maynard Building, until mold was discovered in the building. The Maynard Building is undergoing renovations, so his office is temporarily located in the Fuller Middle School. The Central Office door is located on the left side of the building.

Framingham Public Schools is a Title 1 District, which accepts METCO students but does not accept inter-district choice students. Framingham Public Schools currently offers a choice program for elementary schools. The elementary schools feed into three middle schools and then into Framingham High School.

The schools system has a large Hispanic and Brazilian population, and offers both English as a Second Language and English Language Learners Programs. More than 20 percent of Framingham public school students receive special education services.
