Waushakum Lake is one of three public beaches maintained and staffed by the Framingham Parks and RecreationMore Department. It is a seasonal beach opened from late June to mid-August. It is staffed by trained lifeguards. Swimming is allowed in designated areas only. Cookouts are prohibited, but picnics are allowed. Day passes and seasonal tags are available for residents and non-residents. The Recreation Department requires groups of 10 or more to apply for a group permit to use the beach; this includes children's birthday parties.
Learneds Pond

 Learneds Pond is one of three public beaches maintained and staffed by the Framingham Parks and RecreationMore Department.

It is a seasonal beach opened from late June to mid-August. It is staffed by trained lifeguards.

Swimming is allowed in designated areas only. No diving is permitted. Adults and children may jump feet first off the docks. Children must be supervised and toilet trained. Children not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper.

Use of flotation devices, masks, and fins is prohibited, but swim goggles are allowed. No balls are allowed in the water, but diving sticks are permitted. Feeding of the ducks is prohibited.

Children enjoy observing the fish and tadpoles in the Pond. Fishing is prohibited. Children also enjoy building sandcastles along the shore.

Cookouts are prohibited, but picnics are allowed. The ice cream trucks visit multiple times a day.

Day passes & seasonal tags are available for residents & non-residents. For the 2010 season, day passes for residents were $3, and $6 for non-residents. Seasonal tags are available for individuals & families and for residents & non-residents. Individual resident tags for 2010 were $15 and $40 for a family of 6 or less.
