Giants Kill Flyers' Dreams for Third Place

The Giants from Florida defeated the Framingham Flyers 7th grade football team 27-6, in a semifinal matchup in the American Youth Football national playoffs.

By Justin Brockway The 7th grade B team Flyers’ storybook season had its final chapter written Wednesday at high noon. In a semifinal football matchup between the Flyers and the University Giants of Florida, the Giants walked away victorious by a score of 27-6. Both teams came out ready to play. The Giants won the toss and elected to receive the first half kick. The team wasted no time marching right down the field from their own 33-yard line, but the Flyers defense forced a fumble and safety Orlando Rosario recovered. The Flyers made it to the 50-yard line before the offense stalled out and failed to convert on 4th down. The Giants took advantage of the good field position and pounded their way into the endzone for the score. The Flyers …

Florida Redskins Rally in 4th Quarter to Defeat Flyers 25-22

The New England Champion Framingham Flyers will play again tomorrow against another team from Florida; if they continue to win they can still finish third in the American Youth Football tournament.

By Justin Brockway In the first round of the American Youth Football (AYF) national championship tournament, the Framingham Flyers B team lost a hard fought battle against the Wekiva Redskins of Florida by a score of 25-22 in Orlando. An evenly matched hard-hitting physical game, Florida scored first, controlling the ball for most of the first quarter. However, the Flyers responded with a potent rushing attack led by Edrick Bodley and Charles James, who had several dominating runs up the middle. At the end of the first half, the game was knotted up at 6 points apiece. First half standouts on defense for the Flyers were Alex Ramos at cornerback, with several crushing hits. @ Phyllis, I can't speak for the MCAS scores because I have not done all the necessary research to determine fault in the alleged low scores. Programs could be being cut and the scores could be dropping, but did you donate $1 towards the kids trip to Florida? Didn't see your name on the donations list..
