Attempted Armed Robbery of a Taxi Cab Downtown; Searching For Suspect

Report suspect was armed with a knife.

Report of an attempted armed robbery of a taxi cab on Waverly Street near the former Harley store after 10 p.m. Monday. K-9 unit requested by Framingham Police. Search area includes Beaver Street, First Street and the Mary Denninson Playground. Report suspect was armed with a knife.

On His Birthday, Framingham Man Robbed 2 Stores and Was Arrested

The Framingham man, 49, robbed the Union Avenue Mini Mart and the Dunkin Donuts Wednesday night in a two hour span.

Framingham Police say they have arrested the man who robbed the mini-mart on Union Avenue and the Dunkin Donuts on Route 9 Wednesday night. Police arrested, on Willis St., Paul Sferrazza, 49, of 73 Hollis St. Apt 1 of Framingham. The armed robberies took place on the man's birthday, Oct. 24. He was charged with armed robbery, larceny and larceny over $250, said Framingham Police Lt. Ron Brandolini. In both robberies, the suspect had his hand in his pocket as if he had a gun, but no gun was shown, said police. The suspect, according to witnesses, after robbing the Worcester Road Dunkin Donuts fled westbound down Route 9. Man Grabbed Cash Register During Brazilian Bakery Robbery; No Arrest Made

Framingham Police asking those with any information about the robbery to call them at 508-532-5924.

As Framingham Patch previously reported on Wednesday, Pao Brasil Bakery was robbed by a masked man Wednesday night. Framingham Police Lt. Ron Brandolini said the man "brandishing what appeared to be a handgun covered in a sock" grabbed one of the two registers and ran out of the store. Police later found the register and a fake handgun, wrapped in a sock, next to Silton Glass, by following a trail of coins. The suspect, who escaped the scene Wednesday night, was  described by witnesses as wearing a camouflage jacket over a grey hooded sweatshirt, with blue jeans and black sneakers. UPDATE: Man Robs Brazilian Bakery Wearing Black Ski Mask

Police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Pao Brasil Bakery. The suspect fled on foot and was last seen near Silton Glass.

Police responded to a report of robbery at Pao Brasil Bakery about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses said the man, who is described as a light-skinned male, man have had a gun. He was wearing a black ski mask with holes said witnesses. Police followed a trail of coins from the bakery to Silton Glass. They saw a male suspect fitting the description, but he fled on foot down Coburn Street. The man took a cash register with him when he left the bakery, and it was found near Silton Glass along. The suspect was described as a light-skinned male, about 5-feet, 11-inches, either white or Hispanic, wearing a camouflage jacket, with a grey hooded jacket, jeans and black sneakers. Grand Jury Indicts 5 Men in Kendall Street Armed Robbery

The robbery happened in January at A&J on Kendall Street.

A Middlesex County grand jury has indicted five men in connection with a armed robbery of a Framingham store in January. Shane Bushey, 23, of Framingham, and Solomon Lansana, 26, of Newton, were both charged by the grand jury with masked armed robbery and larceny of more than $250,  said the Middlesex District Attorney's office said in a press release. Lansana was also charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. William Scott, 26, and Sherod Smith, 22, both of Framingham, were charged with being an accessory after the fact. Christopher Krobo, 24, of Roxbury, was charged with intimidation of a witness. Lansana and Bushey robbed the A&J Grocery store in January, Police said.
