UPDATED: Student-Produced Benefit Concert Friday Night [VIDEO]

Half of the proceeds will benefit the arts department of the Framingham Public Schools.

Framingham students will present FCubed, a student-produced concert Friday night at 7 at Framingham High School. "FCubed is an incredibly exciting concert that spans across all genres of music," said Framingham High student Michael Russo. "From Rock to Jazz to original compositions this show will contain something for everyone." More than 40 high (and middle) school students are participating in the performance. Half of our proceeds will be donated to the arts department of the Framingham Public Schools, said Russo, who is Russo, who is president of the Framingham High School Drama Company. Metrowest Youth Symphony to Merge with Claflin Hill Orchestra

The Framingham-based Metrowest Youth Symphony will merge with the Milford-based Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra.

Editor's Note: the following is an excerpt of a press release provided by Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra and Metrowest Youth Symphony Orchestra. In a recent membership vote, the members and Board of Directors of the Metrowest Youth Symphony Orchestra — based in Framingham — voted to formally dissolve their organization and merge with the Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra, which is based in Milford. MetYSO, which has been in existence since 2000, is a growing and energetic youth orchestra organization that is in residence at MassBay Community College in Framingham, where it holds weekly rehearsals every Sunday afternoon from September through May. VIDEO: High School A Cappella Group Serenades Elizabeth Warren

Syncopated sang Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas to the senator-elect Saturday at Nevins Hall.

Senator-Elect Elizabeth Warren stopped by Framingham Saturday as part of her "Starting With People" tour to thank and greet supporters. At the end of the event, the Framingham High School boys A Cappella group Syncopated serenaded her. Singing yesterday were Michael Berkson, Matt Scranton, Keith Stockless, Scott Jacobs, Zach Finn, Jamey Miller and Zach Colten. (A few members of the group were missing Saturday.) Afterwards, Warren thanked the group and posed for a photo.
