UPDATED: Man Hit Over the Head With Steering Wheel Locking Tool

Man taken to Boston Hospital; Framingham Police reported to have suspect in custody.

UPDATE 10:15 a.m. Framingham Police arrested Rolando Abanales, 31, of 100B Taralli Terr of Framingham Sunday night about 11:30. He was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, said Framingham Police Lt. Victor Pereira. The victim, a man, 39, was hit over the head with a steering wheel locking mechanism, that was not recovered, said Pereira. *** A man was hit over the head with a tire iron on 66B Beaver Park Road, just after 11 p.m. Sunday, according to reports. Framingham Police and Framingham Fire repsonded to the serious assault. A medical helicopter was requested, but couldn't fly to Framingham, due to weather conditions, according to a scanner report. UPDATED: Guidance Director Arrested on Assault Charges; Accused of Chasing Kids With His Car

Framingham resident Peter Bruce, director of guidance for Milford High School, was arrested by Framingham Police Friday on three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon. He is accused of using his car to chase three kids on bikes in a parking garage.

The director of guidance at Milford High School faces felony assault charges in Framingham District Court, following his arrest Friday on three charges of assault with a dangerous weapon. Peter Bruce, 41, of 4 Bishop St., Apt. 403, Framingham, was arrested by Framingham Police after an incident in which he was accused of using a car to chase three youths on bikes in a parking garage. Police responded to the Bishop Street Garage, after receiving a report that a man in a vehicle was "chasing three kids on their bikes" in the garage, said Framingham Police Lt. Ron Brandolini. Framingham Firefighter Arrested; Charged with Assaulting Police Officers

Police in Glocester, R.I. say a Framingham firefighter assaulted two of its officers, after crashing his pick-up truck in a bridge.

A Framingham firefighter was ordered held on bail Tuesday after police said he fought with two police officers, after he crashed a truck into a bridge in Glocester, R.I., reported NBC 10, a Providence TV station. William Cline, 51, of Douglas, was arraigned in a Rhode Island District Court. He was charged with felony assault on a police officer, simple assault on a police officer, driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a chemical (alcohol) test, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice and disorderly conduct, reported the TV station. BREAKING: Police Search for Assault Suspect

K9 units and helicopters are searching for a person suspected of assaulting a Framingham resident with a baseball bat.

  UPDATE: Scanner reports say the final suspect was captured by police, and the weapon has been recovered. EARLIER: Troopers from the Massachusetts State Police Department are currently searching for a suspect in an assault case, possibly involving a baseball bat, according to a release from the state police.  K9 units and police helicopters are aiding in the search.  After the suspected assault, which occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, on Richardson Circle, one Framingham resident was airlifted to a nearby hospital.  Framingham police have two people in custody, but the main suspect is still missing, according to initial reports.  The Framingham Police Department was unable to confirm the reports at this time.  Stay tuned to Framingham …
