Framingham residents Audrey Hall and Barbara Stabile are in Washington DC for the inauguration. Hall, who many residents know from her Access Framingham TV show and as the chair of the Ways & Means Committee for Town Meeting, accompanied Stabile to the 57th presidential inauguration as Stabile's daughter will be marching in the parade. Framingham High School Class of 2009 graduate Julie Stabile is a midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy. Hall has been texting Framingham Patch photos all morning. Incumbent School Committee members Beverly Hugo and Andy Limeri as well as School Committee candidates Heather Connolly and Don Taggart presented why they should be elected on April 3 at a forum hosted by the Framingham Town-Wide PTO.
Rebuilding the schools, inequitity within the elementary and middle schools, busing, school choice and the tax rate were among the topics discussed by the two candidates seeking to become Framingham's newest School Committee member, at a forum hosted by the Framingham Town-Wide PTO Monday night. Incumbent School Committee members Beverly Hugo and Andy Limeri, as well as School Committee candidates Heather Connolly and Don Taggart presented why they should be elected on April 3, at the forum at Framingham High. Hugo and Limeri are running unopposed for two, three-year seats on the Framingham School Committee. The search committee charged with finding a pool of candidates for town manager has found none so far, but Selectmen told them to keep looking.
The search for a Town Manager continues, said Audrey Hall, vice chair and spokesperson for the Town Manager Search Committee. Hall said the committee has reviewed many applications to fill the position vacated by Julian Suso, but has not yet found a pool of suitable candidates to bring before the Selectmen. “I want the residents to be assured that we are committed to finding a town manager,” said Selectmen Chair Jason Smith. Suso's contract was not renewed in March 2010. He left for the Falmouth Town Manager position in October. The search committee was charged with finding a pool of three to five highly qualified candidates for town manager, whom the Board of Selectmen would then meet and assess.
