Framingham Democrats Hosting State-Wide Pre-Inaugural Celebration

BroadSword will provide the entertainment at the state-wide celebration on Jan. 12 at Temple Beth Am.

The Framingham Democratic Town Committee hosting state-wide pre-inaugural celebration Jan. 12 at Temple Beth Am from 7 to 11:30 p.m. Band BroadSword, which includes Framingham Board of Health Chair Michael Hugo, will provide the live entertainment. Franklin Caterers will provide dinner. There will be an auction of political memorabilia, said Beverly Hugo. Many elected officials from across the state have been invited and are expected to attend, added Hugo. Tickets are $25 and are first come, first serve. Although a different venue for the final concert of the summer, it was still a fun night for all who attended.

It was a different venue for Friday night's Concert on the Green, but still a fun night for all. Due to heavy rains and a tornado watch, the final concert of the summer was held indoors at Eagles Hall. BroadSword, the band, played The Beatles, Johnny Cash and even some Tommy Tutone. Framingham Patch post a slideshow of photos on Saturday. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table/tent all summer long. Eagles All-American Grill offered a special menu and the Framingham Democratic Town Committee was one of the lone booths, trying to register last minute voters. Final Summer Concert Moved to Eagles Hall Due to Weather

BroadSword to take the stage at 6:30; Attendees asked to bring socks to help Veterans!

Tonight's final summer concert of the season has been moved indoors due to the weather. Framingham is experiencing, rain, severe thunderstorms and is under a tornado watch until 9 p.m. Taking the stage will be BroadSword, a rock n' roll band that includes Board of Health Chair Michael Hugo. Music begins at 6:30 p.m. at Eagles Hall, 55 Park St. The band has more than two dozen original songs, but also plays Johnny Cash and Pink Floyd in the same set. Also please bring socks tonight! The Framingham Veterans Agent in conjunction with the Massachusetts Association of Public Health Nurses have teamed up in an effort to collect white tube or athletic socks for homeless and at risk veterans.
