UPDATED: Red Cross Aiding 4 Adults from Fire on Charles Place

Framingham Fire responded to a building fire on Charles Place Monday afternoon.

Framingham Fire knocked down a building fire on Charles Place just before 2:30 p.m. Scanner reports had a working fire at 11 Charles Place. Engine 3 upon arrival saw lots of smoke and fire visible on the second floor. Engine 3 reported the bulk of the fire was knocked down just before 2:30 p.m. The American Red Cross said it is helping with 4 people who lives at 11 Charles Pl. Charles Place is located off Hollis Street (Route 126). UPDATED at 3:50 p.m. with info from American Red Cross

UPDATED: House Fire at Sudbury Landing

Framingham Fire responded to a report of heavy smoke on both the first and second floor of a home.

UPDATE 4:15 p.m. According to scanner chatter, the fire was contained to one room, mainly due to a sprinkler system. No one was home at the time of the fire, according to the scanner. Framingham Fire was able to control and put out the fire just before 4 p.m. *** Framingham Fire responded to a report of heavy smoke at 6 Sudbury Landing just after 3:30 p.m. Engine 2 out of the Saxonville Fire Station reported a 2-story wood structure with heavy smoke on both the first and second floor. The fire is located at the intersection of Sudbury Landing and Danforth St. Framingham Patch will update when we learn more.

FIRE LOG Feb. 20-26: $70,000 in Damage at Multi-Family Apartment

A sampling of incidents from the Framingham Fire Department.

Between Feb. 20-26, the Framingham Fire Department went on 186 calls, including one building fire. On Feb. 22 at 11:32 p.m., the fire department responded to a building fire at 39 Clark St., a multi-family dwelling. The fire department was notified  of the fire by an alarm, not by a phone or cell call. In May, the Framingham Fire Marshall had suggested an alarm be installed in the building that houses six apartments and about 14-18 people. Fire department was able to knock down the fire in units 5 and 6 and the attic. The fie department cleared the scene at about 1:15 a.m. on Feb. 23. Estimated damage was $70,000. The Fire Department's had 125 calls for rescue and emergency medical service that week, including 6 motor vehicle accidents …

On Jan. 31 at 8:33 p.m., the Fire department responded to a building fire at 9 Alan St. There was $2,000 worth of damage. Fire Log: Live Wire, Radioactive Call, and a Building Fire

A sampling of incidents from the Framingham Fire Department's log for Dec. 8-15.

The Framingham Fire Department responded to 161 calls between Dec. 8-15, including one building fire at 89 Bethany Rd. At 4:03 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8, five fire apparatus responded within minutes to a report of a building fire. The fire started in the kitchen, said Assistant Fire Chief John C. Magri.  "The sprinkler system helped to contain the fire until the fire department arrived on the scene," Magri said. There were no injuries, but $10,000 worth of damage. Fire Log: Building Fire, Vehicle Fire and 119 Medical/Emergency Calls

Framingham Fire Department also responded to seven cooking fires. Below is a summary of the Framingham Fire Department calls for the first week of December.

The Framingham Fire Department responded to one building fire and one motor vehicle fire between Dec. 1-7. On Dec. 4 at 6:11 p.m., the Fire Department put out a building fire at the Housing for the Elderly at 1 John J. Brady Dr. The department estimates the damage at $500. On Dec. 5 at 3;22 p.m., the Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire at 417 Waverley St. The department estimated damage at $7,000.
