5th Annual Holiday Marketplace Saturday at Framingham High

Sponsored by the high school's Parent Athletic Council, the event benefits student athletes and athletic programs at the high school.

Holiday shopping? Stop by the 5th Annual Holiday Marketplace Saturday, Dec, 1, 2012 at Framingham High from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Looking for unique holiday gifts? This is your place. There will be 75-100 vendors selling original and boutique style items including jewelry, handbags, scarves, home décor, specialty food items, children’s clothing, books and accessories, and more. Admission is $4. There will be food sold also. The marketplace is sponsored by the high school's Parent Athletic Council and all monies are donated directly to student athletes and athletic programs at the high school. Artisans Sell Seashell Creations (and More) at Auxiliary Police Craft Fair

More than 125 artisans, crafts and exhibitors were at yesterday's Framingham Auxiliary Police Annual Craft Fair at Keefe Technical High School yesterday.

Designer Lisa Singh drove  4 1/2 hours to sell her jewelry, leaf casts, and crochet scarves at yesterday's Framingham Auxiliary Police 23rd Annual Craft Fair. "I designed this twisted scarf," she said, as she put it around her neck. "You won't find it anywhere else." Singh's business is called Design by Dalisay. She was one of more than 125 artisans, crafters and entrepreneurs at yesterday fair at Keefe Technical High School. "There are a lot of shoppers," Singh said. "I'll be back next year." Shoppers return to the craft fair annually, too. One shopper at the Shining Tiara booth told Framingham Patch she comes every year just to shop the jewelry at the Stoughton crafter's booth. Crafters and Library Employees Create Winter Fair

The 2nd Annual Winter Craft Fair is Saturday, Dec. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It features 22 vendors.

The Framingham Public Library  will hold its 2nd Annual Winter Craft Fair Saturday, Dec. 11. Among the items for sale this year will be Swarovski crystal, silver and precious stone jewelry, pottery, handbags and totes, hand-dyed and handwoven baskets, and handcrafted wooden pieces like cutting boards and hand-turned pens. This event follows the success of the library's first craft fair last year, and is organized by Carol Ames and Kris McElman, both library employees and crafters. "We always thought it would be great to have a craft show in the library and last year we got the go ahead to have a small one in one of the library meeting rooms," said McElman, who has worked at the library for 23 years. Framingham Auxiliary Police Gear Up for 23rd Annual Craft Fair

The craft fair, which draws thousands of shoppers looking for handmade items, is critical to the all-volunteer Framingham Auxiliary Police force.

The Framingham Auxiliary Police are gearing up for their 23rd annual craft fair this Saturday, Dec. 11. Nearly 150 vendors will set up their wares inside Keefe Technical School. Thousands of shoppers are expected to browse the wide selection of handmade items, including jewelry, gift baskets, fudge, candles, lotions, Barbie doll items, and sports paraphernalia. "Vendors sell just about everything, and timing is great just before the holidays," said Sergeant Bryant Tarr of the Framingham Auxiliary Police. Tarr, a practicing podiatrist, has volunteered as an Auxiliary Police officer for 11 years and has organized the craft fair for the last six years.
