Christmas Tree Pick Up Scheduled for Jan. 23-27

Framingham's curb-side pick-up of Christmas trees will not take place until almost a month after Christmas.

Framingham will do curb-side pick-up of Christmas trees Jan 23-27. Residents may put out their tree to be pick up on their regularly scheduled trash day. Town Manager Issues Final Release on Irene

Town Manager Julian Suso: "Our continuing thanks to all residents for their extraordinary cooperation and patience as we have dealt with the aftermath of this major storm event."

Press release issued by Framingham Town Manager Julian Suso on Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 9:30 a.m.: We were advised by NSTAR that, as of the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 3 all reported electrical outages within Framingham had been restored to power. The Town of Framingham has no way to be aware of the address/location of individual homes that reported electrical outages to NSTAR. In the event that any homes/properties may have been overlooked or missed by NSTAR, we ask those affected to attempt to call NSTAR at the following number: 1-800-592-2000 and (if necessary) report their situation once again. As a reminder, I want to confirm once again that as a service to residents, a special curbside collection of yard waste will take place. We ask …

Clean Up Continues From Irene

Town of Framingham held a special curbside collection of tree limbs, branches, etc today, Sept . 6 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., due to storm Irene.

Due to Tropical Storm Irene, a special curbside collection of yard waste is taking place today between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.. Brush, branches, and limbs needed to be neatly piled curbside by Tuesday Sept. 6th. The Department of Public Works was making one pass through the Town picking up those materials and will not be able to return to a residence should items not be left out on time.

Special Curbside Collection for Irene Debris: Tuesday, Sept 6

Brush, branches, and limbs must be neatly piled curbside. This collection is for natural vegetation only. Food, trash, construction materials, etc., will not be collected. Loose and bagged leaves will also not be accepted curbside, but can be disposed of

From Deputy DPW Director Paul G. Barden: Due to Tropical Storm Irene, a special curbside collection of yard waste will take place. Brush, branches, and limbs must be neatly piled curbside by Tuesday Sept. 6th. The Department of Public Works will make one pass through the Town picking up those materials and will not be able to return to a residence should items not be left out on time. It is not necessary to tie the materials up, but please keep the area free of vehicles between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. so our equipment can pick it up. This doesn't make sense. They say no barrels and they picked up my barrel, and refused to take the rest that I piled up by the curb. I understand restrictions, but I couldn't put it any more closer to the curb without obstructing traffic.   more ›

Nov. 28: A Look at the Week Ahead

Hanukkah starts at sundown on Wednesday, Dec. 1 and Framingham will hold its 19th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting on Friday, Dec. 3.

1. This is the last week for curbside yard waste collection. Yard waste collection occurs on the same day as your trash collection. Only yard waste contained in approved, paper biodegradable leaf bags or in covered 35-gallon plastic or metal barrels clearly marked "yard waste" will be collected. No plastic bags allowed. Any yard waste not conforming to these guidelines will not be collected and will be left at the curb.  2. Hanukkah begins at sundown on Wednesday, Dec. 1. The Festival of Lights ends on Dec. 9. 3. The town of Framingham will hold its 19th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting at the Memorial Building on Friday night, Dec. 3 at 6:15.
