Due to issues with the ballots and some machines at a few precincts, hand counts were necessary and the counting continues Wednesday morning.
UPDATED: Framingham counting completed and results were available at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. *** In just the first hour of voting Tuesday, there was an issue with the machine collecting the ballots at Precinct 11 at Keefe Technical School. A second machine was brought in, but it too was having issues accepting the ballots. Machines at the King Administration building and Potter Road Elementary School also had issues, reported campaign workers and observers. With the issue, hand counting was required to make sure that every one's vote was counted. Keefe's machines were the last to arrive at the Memorial Building. Just before midnight Town Clerk Valerie Mulvey made the decision to send her staff home and complete the hand counts in the morning…

Because of those issues the Town Clerk's office was hand counting and will continue to hand count this morning. Unofficially in Framingham Precinct 8: Sannicandro 1,268; Fetherston …
