Restaurant Scene Heating Up

Four restaurants opened this month—filling old vacancies, spurring job growth and reflecting increased confidence among business owners in the economy.

Four new restaurants opened in Framingham this November, reflecting increased confidence among business owners in the economy here. The four restaurants—Angry Ham's Garage, a locally owned pub, and franchises Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Tio Juan's Margaritas Mexican Restaurant and Chinese Mirch, are clustered in Northeast Framingham near the dense commercial business areas of Shoppers World, Sherwood Plaza Shopping Center and Cloverleaf Marketplace Shopping Center. Each restaurant has enjoyed positive local reception since opening. Angry Ham's Garage, locally owned by Tim Hanna, had a nearly full bar at 4:30 p.m. the Monday before Thanksgiving.
