Nathan Williams’ attorney drew doubt to the proper identification of his client at a dangerousness hearing Wednesday.
The defense lawyer for a man accused of forcibly raping a 15-year-old girl called into question the victim's ability to identify her alleged attacker. Nathan Williams, 19, who is listed as homeless with a last known address in Framingham, is charged with rape of a child with force after certain offenses (two counts), kidnapping and indecent assault and battery on a person over 14. The charges stemmed from a reported assault of a 15-year-old girl after she got off a school bus April 3. The arraignment of Nathan P. Williams came after a reported sexual assault that occurred on April 3.
Nathan Williams, the 19-year-old accused of sexually assaulting a girl last week, is being held until a second hearing occurs this Friday. Williams was charged with rape of a child with force after certain offenses (two counts), kidnapping and indecent assault and battery on a person over 14. Judge Robert Greco heard arguments from Williams' attorney, John Daly, and the prosecuting attorney Katelyn Draper Tuesday morning. In addition to being held, Williams’ bail from an earlier charge of assault and battery was also revoked. Governor Deval Patrick announced the nomination of Michael L. Fabbri, as Associate Justice of the Framingham District Court on Tuesday. The announcment also included the nominations of Cathleen E. Campbell, as Associate Justice of the Cambridge District Court and Mary F. An individual called in a bomb threat to Framingham District Court Wednesday morning. The courthouse was closed for a couple of hours as it was searched. No bomb was found.
Framingham District Court was closed this morning due to a bomb threat, via phone. Framingham Fire, Framingham Police and State Police responded to the threat and evacuated the building just after 9:30 a.m. The Bomb squad was requested. A dog from the Massachusetts State Police K-9 unit searched the building for a bomb. None was found. Prisoners were taken to the Framingham Police headquarters during the evacuation.
