Framingham High 2012 Grad Cast in Theatre Company's Inaugural Production

The Flyleaf Theater Company's inaugural production of Jason Robert Brown's musical, Songs for a New World, opens June 8 at 8 p.m. at 1870 Town Hall at 12 Woodward Ave. in Berlin. There are additional shows on June 9 at 2 and 8 p.m. The Flyleaf Theater Company, a new, small-scale theatrical and educational non-profit organization based in Westborough and Berlin, plans to focus on small-cast straight plays and musicals rarely seen in the area, for a variey of reasons, said Jonathan Eldridge. Framingham High recent graduate Lindsay Ortemeyer is a member of the cast for this inaugural production. Other cast members are Mary Kaye, Ken Orben, Eric Darden, Jennifer Drummond and Danny Kircher. Flyers Softball in Tourney for First Time Since 2004

Framingham High girls softball team will host the Crimson Tide of Everett Saturday, June 2 at 4 p.m. at the high school.

Framingham High girls softball team, with its 14-6 record, have made the post-season for the first time since 2004. The Flyers will host 9th ranked Crimson Tide of Everett at Winch Field at Framingham High School on Saturday, June 2 at 4 p.m. Everett also finished the season at 14-6. The #1 seed in the tournament is another team from the Greater Boston League, the Tornadoes of Malden. The winner of the Everett-Framingham game may face Malden. Billerica and Woburn are battling later this week for a chance to take on the #1 ranked team and the winner of that game will take on the winner of the Everett-Framingham game. 1. School Committee meeting has started. Framingham Patch will be live blogging. We will also provide updates via Twitter.

School Committee has just been called to order 7:33 p.m. SC chair Bev Hugo welcoming back everyone. Agenda starts with Framingham High School Principal Michael Welch - on the status of the 5-year progress report and the status of the accreditation. He will also give a report on the AP Scores. New England Association of Schools and Colleges - reaccredits schools every 10 years. They go over the school over a 4-day period. In 2006-2007, that was the last 10-year review. We had 50 issues to work on as a school in 2006-07, said Welch. He just had a 5-year progress report. Need to submit another report in Feb. 2012. It is now routine to do annual follow-ups, he said.
