MCAS: Five Framingham Schools Given Level 3 Status

Framingham Public Schools issues press release on the MCAS results for the district. Massachusetts DESE has released its accountability rankings for schools this year. Rankings this year are based on a new formula for calculating school performance. This formula takes into account the progress of students as well as overall achievement for the school and each subgroup measured. At the high school level, participation in MCAS, drop out and graduation rates are also important to the formula. Overall, Framingham continues to be challenged at reaching the desired levels of progress and achievement for our students but we remain committed to highlighting our areas of excellence and areas needing continued improvement.
