Framingham State Football Wins Homecoming Football Game 35-28 in Overtime

The Rams came from behind to defeat Mass Mariitime 35-28 in overtime.

Framingham State University football team overcame a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter to tie the game and scored on their possession in overtime to secure a 35-28 victory over Massachusetts Maritime Academy in a New England Football Conference Bogan Divisional game at Framingham’s Maple Street Field on Homecoming and Family Weekend. The Rams improve to 4-1 on the season and are 2-0 in the division, while Mass. Maritime, who played their first overtime game since 1993, falls to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the division. Framingham State Rams Soccer Defeats Salem 2-1

The Framingham State University women’s soccer team recorded its first conference victory of the year with a 2-1 win over Salem State in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference women’s soccer action Saturday afternoon at Maple Street Field. With the win, the Rams improve to 2-4 on the year and 1-1 in the Conference. The Rams took the early lead with a goal just under four minutes into the game.  Sophomore Isabela DeSouza (former Framingham Flyer) flicked the ball in the box toward the goal and junior Kayla Austin one touched it into the back of the net. Framingham State Men's Soccer defeats Worcester State 4-2

Junior forward Henrique DaSilva of Framingham recorded a goal and an assist en route to receiving the 2012 Peter J. Heffernan Jr. Award, as the Framingham State University men’s soccer team defeated Worcester State University 4-2 Saturday afternoon in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference action at Maple Street Field.    DaSilva is a former Framingham Flyer. With the win, the Rams improve to 1-3-1 on the year and 1-0 in the MASCAC, while the Lancers fall to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in the conference. The Peter J. Framingham State University's Men's Soocer team earned its third NCAA tournament bid; play Montclair State Saturday.

The 2011 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s soccer regular season and tournament champion Framingham State University Rams will make the program’s third appearance in the NCAA Division III Championship this week as the Rams received the Conference's automatic bid after winning the conference tournament on Saturday. The Rams, who are making their first NCAA appearance since 2008, when they were eliminated by Middlebury College on penalty kicks, will travel to Montclair State where the Red Hawks will host two first round matches on Saturday and a second round match on Sunday.  Framingham State (8-8-3) will face the host Red Hawks (15-3-3) who earned an at-large bid. The Framingham State Rams defeated Salem State 2-0 to win the 2011 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship.

Freshman Bryan DaSilva, of Milford, was selected the tournament’s MVP as top-seeded Framingham State University men’s soccer team defeated second seed Salem State 2-0 Saturday afternoon in the finals of the 2011 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Championship at Maple Street Field in Framingham. With the win, Framingham State improves to 8-8-3 on the year and the Rams receive the MASCAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championships.  Pairings and seeding for the NCAA Division III Championships will be announced on Monday. Framingham State Captures Bogan Division Football Title

Framingham State Rams defeated Coast Guard 14-7 to captured the Bogan Division title on Saturday. It's the university's first-ever title.

Sophomore running back Melikke Van Alstyne carried 39 times for 180 yards and two touchdowns as the Framingham State University football team clinched its first ever New England Football Conference (NEFC) Bogan Division title with a 14-7 win over Coast Guard on a bitter cold, windy and rainy day at Maple Street Field in Framingham. With the win, Framingham improves to 7-2 overall and 6-0 in the Bogan Division. With his 180 yards in the game, Van Alstyne established a new Framingham State single season rushing mark as he now has 1,399 yards on the season which surpasses the previous single season best of 1,373 which was set a season ago by Dave Leach. Framingham Men’s Soccer, Clark Play to 0-0 Double Overtime Draw

The Framingham State University men’s soccer team battled Clark University to a 0-0 double overtime draw Wednesday afternoon in non-conference men’s soccer action at Maple Street Field in Framingham. With the tie, both teams are now an identical 5-5-2 on the season. The Rams outshot the Cougars 27-10 in the game, but Clark University goalkeeper Ryan King was outstanding in net making 12 saves. Framingham State net minder Sam Yoder was equally impressive making seven stops. The Framingham State field hockey team snapped a four-game losing streak with the win. The team is now 4-9 on the season.

The Framingham State University field hockey team snapped a four game skid with a 4-1 win Tuesday afternoon over Becker College in a non-conference matchup at Maple Street Field in Framingham. With the win, the Rams are now 4-9 on the season. The Rams wasted no time taking control of the game as sophomore Demi Miskiv scored her team leading fifth goal of the season just under five minutes into the contest.  Miskiv scored off of a feed from junior Kelly German on a penalty corner.
