Cortland, NY. – The Framingham State University football team rallied from 13 points down late in the third quarter but fell short suffering a heartbreaking 20-19 loss to Cortland State in an opening round game of the 2012 NCAA Division III Football Championship at the Cortland Stadium Complex. The Rams were making their first NCAA appearance after capturing the New England Football Conference (NEFC) Championship a week ago and close the most successful season in Framingham State University football history a program best 10-2. The Red Dragons are now 9-1 and advance to face Wesley next weekend in the second round of the NCAA Football Championship. Framingham State Football In NCAA Division III Football Championships

The Rams will travel to New York for a playoff game Saturday, Nov. 17.

The 2012 New England Football Conference Champion Framingham State University Rams are making an appearance in the NCAA Division III Football Championship for the first time in school history and will be traveling to SUNY Cortland on Saturday, Nov. 17.  The 2012 Rams have won a school record 10 games in a row including a thrilling 28-16 victory over Salve Regina University Saturday in the final NEFC Championship Game, as the league is splitting apart after the 2012 season and will no longer have a championship game. Framingham State Football Wins Conference Championship at Bowditch

The Framingham State University football team captured the 2012 New England Football Conference Championship and advance to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time in school history after defeating Salve Regina 28-16.

The Framingham State University football team captured the 2012 New England Football Conference Championship and advance to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time in school history after defeating Salve Regina 28-16 in the final NEFC Championship game Saturday at Bowditch Field. The Rams improve to 10-1 on the season and receive the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Football Championship with pairings announced today, Nov. 11. Framingham State Football Wins Homecoming Football Game 35-28 in Overtime

The Rams came from behind to defeat Mass Mariitime 35-28 in overtime.

Framingham State University football team overcame a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter to tie the game and scored on their possession in overtime to secure a 35-28 victory over Massachusetts Maritime Academy in a New England Football Conference Bogan Divisional game at Framingham’s Maple Street Field on Homecoming and Family Weekend. The Rams improve to 4-1 on the season and are 2-0 in the division, while Mass. Maritime, who played their first overtime game since 1993, falls to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the division. The Endicott Gulls capitalized on seven turnovers and used thirty-four unanswered points to defeat the Framingham State University Rams, 34-7. The Rams got off to an early lead thanks to a 12-yard touchdown reception by senior wide-receiver Alex Avery of Milford. Framingham State Offers Youth Football Camp July 23-26

The non-contact camp is open to players age 8-15.

The 2nd Annual Youth Football Camp sponsored by the 2011 MASCAC and NEFC Bogan Division Champion Framingham State University football program will be held on July 23-26 from 5-7:30 p.m. (rain or shine) at Framingham State University's Maple Street Field.   The non-contact camp is open to players age 8-15. Camp participants at all positions will work with college coaches and players to improve their skills through a variety of drills.  If interested in attending, please email Framingham State Offensive Coordinator Aynsley Rosenbaum at arosenbaum@framingham.edu to reserve your spot. Registration and medical release forms can be downloaded here. The completed forms should be brought to the first night of camp along with a $60 registration fee.

Framingham State Captures Bogan Division Football Title

Framingham State Rams defeated Coast Guard 14-7 to captured the Bogan Division title on Saturday. It's the university's first-ever title.

Sophomore running back Melikke Van Alstyne carried 39 times for 180 yards and two touchdowns as the Framingham State University football team clinched its first ever New England Football Conference (NEFC) Bogan Division title with a 14-7 win over Coast Guard on a bitter cold, windy and rainy day at Maple Street Field in Framingham. With the win, Framingham improves to 7-2 overall and 6-0 in the Bogan Division. With his 180 yards in the game, Van Alstyne established a new Framingham State single season rushing mark as he now has 1,399 yards on the season which surpasses the previous single season best of 1,373 which was set a season ago by Dave Leach. Framingham State Holds Off Westfield State for 27-24 Victory

Rams sophomore running back Melikke Van Alstyne rushed for more than 100 yards for the seventh time this season.

The Framingham State University football team stopped Westfield State on 4th down with 28 seconds remaining to hold off the Owls and pick up a 27-24 victory Saturday afternoon in New England Football Conference Bogan Division action at Maple Street Field in Framingham. With the win, the Rams improve to 6-2 on the season and remain undefeated in the division at 5-0.  Sophomore quarterback Dino Mancinelli completed 19 of 35 passes for 274 yards with a touchdown and an interception, while senior wide receiver James McCarthy of newton, made seven catches for 185 yards and two scores.  Sophomore running back Melikke Van Alstyne, of Salem, rushed for more than 100 yards for the seventh time this season, as he collected 114 yards on the ground …

Framingham State Football Soars to 41-7 Win over Fitchburg State

With the win today, Framingham State University's Rams improve to 4-2 on the year and remain unbeaten in the division at 3-0.

The Framingham State University football team amassed 325 yards of total offense as they defeated Fitchburg State 41-7 this afternoon in New England Football Conference Bogan Division action at Maple Street Field in Framingham. With the win the Rams even improve to 4-2 on the year and remain unbeaten in the division at 3-0. The Rams accumulated 325 yards of total offense (167 rushing and 158 passing) to just 123 total yards for the Falcons (94 rushing and 29 passing).  The Rams committed five turnovers in the game, but their defense got five takeaways which led to three touchdown drives. The Rams of Framingham State University, led by sophomore Melikke Van Alstyne's 233 yards and four touchdowns, shut out Massachusetts Maritime 26-0 on Saturday.

Sophomore Melikke Van Alstyne rushed for 233 yards and four touchdowns to lead Framingham State to a 26-0 New England Football Conference Bogan Division victory over Massachusetts Maritime Saturday afternoon at Clean Harbors Stadium. The visiting Rams recovered their second fumble of the contest late in the opening quarter inside the host Buccaneers’ 25-yard line, and Van Alstyne gave Framingham State the only score it would need with a three-yard plunge on the first play of the second stanza and a 7-0 lead.  The Framingham State Rams extended that margin to 14-0 at the break by driving 80 yards in just four plays, capped by Van Alstyne’s five-yard scoring scamper with 29 seconds to play in the half, and the visitors took advantage of a …
