Framingham Superintendent of Schools Stacy Scott announced Friday afternoon he has hired a new principal for Wilson Elementary School, one of the town's level 3 schools. Scott hired John Haidemenos, Jr. the Principal at the Joseph Jenks Jr. High and the Jacqueline Walsh School for the Arts in Pawtucket, R.I. UPDATED 7:55 p.m.: Framingham Teachers Association voted 88 percent in favor of a new contract, said FTA President Sam Miskin. *** The Framingham School Committee issued a statement on Monday, May 6 that a tentative agreement has been reached with the Framingham Teachers Association. Framingham Patch reported on April 10 that an agreement had been reached by the two sides in closed door negotiations. The agreement comes after over 12 months of negotiations, which at times were assisted by a state mediator. Finalists for the principal position at Fuller Middle School are now down to just one candidate as the other finalist has accepted a position in Newton.
Parents are invited tonight (April 24) to meet the lone finalist for the Fuller Middle School Principal position at 7 in the school's library. The lone finalist to replace former Fuller Middle Principal Juan Rodriguez, is Sharon Seyller. Seyller is in her third year as an Assistant Principal at the Fowler Middle School in Maynard. She also served three years as a Vice Principal/Interim Principal at Scituate Middle School. Seyller has more than 15 years of guidance counselor experience in New Hampshire and Massachusetts public schools. She spent the day in Framingham Tuesday, said Human Resources Director Paula Ceglowski. It is unknown if Dr. Scott will name Seyller as the new principal, or if he will decide to hold a second principal …

After a year of sometimes contentious negotiations, Framingham Public Schools and the Framingham Teachers Association have reached an agreement on a new contract. Superintendent Stacy Scott announced during Wednesday night's School Committee meeeting that a memorandum of agreement had been finalized earlier in the day, during a mediation session. Framingham Patch reported early Wednesday, that the two sides were at 99 percent agreement before its scheduled Wednesday morning session. Superintendent of Schools Stacy Scott announced two finalists Wednesday afternoon for both the Fuller Middle School and Wilson Elementary School principal positions. Tonight, the Framingham School Committee will hold a public hearing on the budget at 7:30 in the King Administration Building.
