Framingham Leaders, DA Discuss Workplace Violence Prevention

Middlesex District Attorney stresses the importance of workplace violence prevention at Framingham town administrators and area business leaders meeting.

Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone was a guest speaker at the Framingham town administrators and area business leaders bi-annual meeting Thursday, where he addressed the importance of workplace violence prevention.  The event was held at Cushing Memorial Park for area business leaders with a focus on community and economic development. Also in attendance was Framingham Town Manager Julian Suso, Chair of the Framingham Board of Selectmen Jason Smith, Framingham Planning Board Director Jay Grande and Framingham Police Chief Steven Carl, according to a press release.  Leone discussed the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office’s workplace violence prevention program he created in April 2010. The program is available to area businesses …

Middlesex District Attorney Visits MetroWest Boys & Girls Club

District Attorney, Framingham Police, Boys and Girls Clubs of MetroWest and others looking to reenergize, refocus and re-dedicate Framingham’s commitment to positively developing and maintaining youth wellness, safety and health.

Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone visited the Boys and Girls Club of MetroWest in Framingham today, June 1 in response to an invitation from President Fran Hurley, in an effort to further pro-active collaboration between the organization and the DA’s office on youth development issues.   The Boys and Girls Club of MetroWest provides boys and girls between the ages of 2 and 18 with social, educational, physical and cultural programming with the intent to enhance the development of children and to prepare young adults to be responsible and productive members of the community.  “The Boys and Girls Club of MetroWest is a remarkable organization which provides our youth with the tools they need in order to be successful citizens,” Leone …

Jim: I could repeat what my 9 year old says to me, but that doesn't make it true. I have been to the B&G Club several times. Just like the community of Framingham itself, it is a mix of everyone. But in reality it doesn't matter what type of kids go to the clubhouse, it is the work of the staff and volunteers that matter. They make a difference with kids each day.   more ›
