Framingham High girls swim team finished fourth in the state, 6th grade football team loses in New England Championships, Framingham Town Cup at Loring tonight and Rotary Club's auction all featured in today's column.

6th Grade Football Team Wins Massachusetts Title

Congrats to the 6th grade Framingham Youth Football "C" Team, who won the Massachusetts State Title Sunday in Leominster. They defeated a team from Marlborough to earn a spot in the New England Championships in Connecticut. The team is undefeated and ranked in the top 20 in the United States in the American Youth Football rankings.

Cheer on Nationally-Ranked Framingham Youth Football Teams Sunday

Framingham Youth Football & Cheering will host the BayState Superbowl games Sunday at Bowditch Field.

Framingham Youth Football & Cheering will host the Bay State Superbowl games Sunday, Nov. 4 at Bowditch Field. Everyone is invited to attend the games for free to cheer on Framingham's two nationally-ranked youth football teams. The Framingham Youth Football A Team, comprised of eighth graders, finished the regular season undefeated at 9-0. They are ranked third in the county in the American Youth Football All-American rankings. They defeated Needham Tuesday to earth a spot in Sunday's championship game. Last year as a seventh grade team, they won the Bay State League Championship, Massachusetts State Championship and the New England Regional Championship. Framingham Public Schools are closed today; so are most of the private schools. Parents: Mark your calendars the last day of school is now Thursday, June 20, 2013. Framingham State University has cancelled classes and Mass Bay Community College has cancelled classes on the Framingham campus before 4 p.m. ESL classes at Fuller Middle School on tonight have been cancelled. The Framingham branch of the MetroWest YMCA will open at 7:30 a.m., but as of midnight there was no hot water. Flyers 8th Grade A Team 4-0, After Defeating Weymouth 19-12

The Flyer C team of 6th graders is undefeated at 4-0 too, outscoring their opponents 132-20.

This year’s Flyer football youth program is off to a fast and strong start in the first season after last year’s B Team trip to the National Championships in Florida.
