Flyers 8th Grade A Team 4-0, After Defeating Weymouth 19-12

The Flyer C team of 6th graders is undefeated at 4-0 too, outscoring their opponents 132-20.

BY JUSTIN BROCKWAY In the months of August to November, it is the football players, the boys of Fall who dominate the season. This year’s Flyer football youth program is off to a fast and strong start in the first season after last year’s B Team trip to the National Championships in Florida. Starting this week, you can find all your updates for Flyer Youth Football right here at the Framingham Patch. Here’s a recap of the season to date; The Flyer’s 8th grade A team, led by coaches Ron Davis, Tony Tolson, Jason Smith and Adam Blumer, are off to a 4-0 start after Sunday's 19-12 thrilling win over Weymouth. Last weekend, the Framingham Youth Football and Cheerleading program held its open openers at Framingham State University's athletic field on Maple Street. The sixth grade C team defeated Sudbury 41-6. (See attached video) The A team (8th graders), who went to the national championships last season, defeated Sudbury 37-8. The D team (5th graders) won a close game 22-19 over Sudbury. The B team (7th graders) lost to Sudbury 38-7. The team will travel to Norwood today. The next home game is against Walpole on Sept. 30. We'd love to see photos and videos from today's games against the Mustangs of Norwood. Please upload them here.

Giants Kill Flyers' Dreams for Third Place

The Giants from Florida defeated the Framingham Flyers 7th grade football team 27-6, in a semifinal matchup in the American Youth Football national playoffs.

By Justin Brockway The 7th grade B team Flyers’ storybook season had its final chapter written Wednesday at high noon. In a semifinal football matchup between the Flyers and the University Giants of Florida, the Giants walked away victorious by a score of 27-6. Both teams came out ready to play. The Giants won the toss and elected to receive the first half kick. The team wasted no time marching right down the field from their own 33-yard line, but the Flyers defense forced a fumble and safety Orlando Rosario recovered. The Flyers made it to the 50-yard line before the offense stalled out and failed to convert on 4th down. The Giants took advantage of the good field position and pounded their way into the endzone for the score. The Flyers …

Framingham 7th grade football team will compete in the American Youth Football national playoffs today. If they win today, they will battle for third place nationally on Friday.

Florida Redskins Rally in 4th Quarter to Defeat Flyers 25-22

The New England Champion Framingham Flyers will play again tomorrow against another team from Florida; if they continue to win they can still finish third in the American Youth Football tournament.

By Justin Brockway In the first round of the American Youth Football (AYF) national championship tournament, the Framingham Flyers B team lost a hard fought battle against the Wekiva Redskins of Florida by a score of 25-22 in Orlando. An evenly matched hard-hitting physical game, Florida scored first, controlling the ball for most of the first quarter. However, the Flyers responded with a potent rushing attack led by Edrick Bodley and Charles James, who had several dominating runs up the middle. At the end of the first half, the game was knotted up at 6 points apiece. First half standouts on defense for the Flyers were Alex Ramos at cornerback, with several crushing hits. @ Phyllis, I can't speak for the MCAS scores because I have not done all the necessary research to determine fault in the alleged low scores. Programs could be being cut and the scores could be dropping, but did you donate $1 towards the kids trip to Florida? Didn't see your name on the donations list.. VIDEO: Hundreds Cheer on Flyers at Rally; First Game Monday

Framingham cheered on the 7th grade Framingham Flyers football team Friday night at Bowditch Field. The team left Saturday to compete in the American Youth Football national playoffs.

Framingham cheered on the 7th grade Framingham Flyers football team Friday night at Bowditch Field. The team is the Bay State League Champions, Massachusetts State Champions and the New England Regional Champions. The team left for Florida and the national American Youth Football playoffs Saturday. The Flyers first game is Monday. Framingham Youth Football treated the players and their families to a pasta dinner at the Framingham Elks after the rally. Half the team flew out of Logan Airport in Boston and half flew out of Worcester very early saturday morning. Knights Airtport Limousine Service provided transportation to the airport for the New England Champion Framingham Flyers team. The cost of the championship quest is $45,000+. More …

7th Grade Flyers Win NE Football Championship, Off to Nationals [Video]

Team will need the community's help to raise the $45,000 cost to the national playoffs in Florida Dec. 3-10.

By Coach Jason Smith In a game that would come down to the last play of the game, the Framingham Flyers 7th grade American Youth Football team won the New England Regional Championship, by beating the Hartford CT Wildcats 44-38. The win sends the Framingham Youth Football B Team to the National Tournament in Orlando next week. It has been the most remarkable season I have ever been a part of. These kids are a special group of kids that have really come together to form a true football family. We have the most AMAZING FANS that care about these kids, not only family and friends but several fans from the Bay State have been there to cheer us on; and for that, we so appreciate it.
