Framingham North High Class of 1985 Holds 25th Reunion
Many attendees were looking forward to a performance from "Universe," a popular student band 25 years ago.
The Class of Framingham North High School 1985 held its 25th reunion at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Natick Thanksgiving weekend. About 100 of the slightly more than 300 graduates attended the reunion, according to Anne King, now Anne Stone, who was part of the 25th reunion organizing committee. Stone, who now lives in Stow, and many of her classmates were especially excited to see and hear the reunion of their classmates' band "Universe," which she said won all the Battles of the Bands in its heyday. Stone said the band was only expected to play a few numbers at 10 "but they could get out of control." She told of the time in eighth grade when administrators told Universe not to play Lynyrd Skynyrd's Free Bird, because it would take too long …
