Bring an unwrapped toy to O'Connell's Pub tonight; Framingham Fire Department and Timothy's Toy Box will deliver the toys to kids in need this holiday season.

Framingham Baseball is hosting its 9th Annual Toy Drive for kids in need. Bring an unwrapped toy for a boy or a girl, and the toys collected will be delivered to needy children by the Framingham Fire Department and Timothy's Toy Box. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at O'Connell's Pub, 700 Worcester Rd. Cash bar. Any questions call Janet Leombruno at 508-989-4938

Fetherston Campaign Launches Video Ad Campaign

Jon Fetherston, an Ashland Republican challenging an incumbent Democrat for the 7th Middlesex District state representative seat has launched a video ad.

Jon Fetherston, a Republican challenging incumbent Democrat Tom Sannicandro for the 7th Middlesex District state representative seat, has launched a video ad. The ad features Fetherston, but also has endorsements from Framingham residents Mary Z. Connaughton, who ran for state auditor, Janet Leombruno, Enzo Rotatori and Jack Prindiville. The 7th Middlesex County district includes Ashland and 6 of Framingham's 18 precincts. Both Fetherston and Sannicandro live in Ashland. The election is less than 30 days away on Nov. 6. Sannicandro has agreed to just one debate between the two candidates. Fetherston had suggested three debates. The lone debate is scheduled for Oct. 24 at Wilson Elementary School. Framingham resident Janet Leombruno recently attended the Republican National Convention in Tampa and shared her "Republican vacation" photos with Framingham Patch. While not an official delegate, Leombruno is a member of the Massachusetts Republican Committee. She was elected as the committee woman for the Second Middlesex & Norfolk district. Her district includes her hometown of Framingham as well as six other communities. Leombruno, who is an elected Town Meeting member in Framingham for Precinct 5, is also a member of Scott Brown's Women for Brown Coalition. Couple Host Former Congressman at an Event for State Rep. Candidate Jon Fetherston

Former congressman and radio personality Peter Blute attended the event at the Framingham home of Janet and John Leombruno.

Friends and supporters recently gathered at the home of Janet & John Leombruno of Framingham for an event featuring former Congressman and radio personality, Peter Blute to honor Ashland Board of Selectman Chair Jon Fetherston, who is challenging Rep. Tom Sannicandro for the 7th Middlesex County state representative seat. Special guests were Mary Z Connaughton, and radio talk show host Michael Graham. Voters will elect a new state representative in Nov. 2012. Sannicandro is the democratic incumbent. Fetherston is the republican challenger. The seat represents all of Framingham and several precincts in Framingham.

Janet Leombruno To Receive the Good Scout Award

The Knox Trail Council of Boy Scouts will honor Framingham resident and volunteer Janet Leombruno Thursday evening, Sept. 15.

The Knox Trail Council of the Boy Scoutsof America is holding a reception to honor Framingham resident Janet Leombruno on Thursday, Sept. 15 at Ken's Steak House. Born and raised in Framingham, Leombruno attended Stapleton Elementary School and Cameron Middle School. She graduated from Framingham North in 1981. Always a trail blazer, she was one of the first two girls in Framingham to play Little League baseball. She has volunteered at the YMCA to help young children in many activities and excelled in training youngsters gymnastics. For 13 years, she volunteered for numerous programs at Hemenway Elementary. Leombruno has coached soccer for Framingham United Soccer Club for 6 years. She has coached baseball in Framingham for 13 years …
