LETTER: Fetherston Campaign Questions Sannicandro's Ties to Deval Patrick

Committee to Elect Jon Fetherston: "What is Sannicandro worried about? Simply that Jon Fetherston would make a great state representative and the people of Ashland and Framingham know it."

Press Release from Committee to Elect Jon Fetherston: While it seems State Rep. Tom Sannicandro (Ashland-D), who represents Framingham and Ashland, doesn’t have time to debate the issues with his opponent, Jon Fetherston (a Republican), he does have time to attend a fundraiser tonight, Oct. 16 in Ashland. Sannicandro has turned down several invitations from local groups representing taxpayers and small business to debate. The panelists and moderators for these debates were chosen to provide a balanced view so there is no legitimate reason to refuse. The keynote guest at Sannicandro's Ashland fundraiser is none other than our Governor Deval Patrick. This is notable, in that Governor Patrick hasn’t attended these events for other local …

Here is a video from Tom Sannicandro's recent fundraiser with Governor Deval Patrick. As some of you may know, the Governor had gone to see the kids at Ashland Middle School earlier in the day before visiting with Sannicandro supporters, many of whom have lived in this areas for decades. All in all, it seemed like a nice event. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=An5WMOjsmVM   more ›

The 7th Middlesex County district includes Ashland and 6 of Framingham's 18 precincts. Both Fetherston and Sannicandro live in Ashland. The election is less than 30 days away on Nov. 6. Fetherston: Sannicandro Is Dragging His Feet on Debating

The Committee To Elect Jon Fetherston says state Rep. Tom Sannicandro, who represents Ashland and six precincts in Framingham, has yet to agree to a debate.

Press Release from Committee to Elect Jon Fetherston: On Sept. 30, Jon Fetherston, candidate for state representative, announced he has accepted two invitations from community groups to debate the incumbent State Rep. Tom Sannicandro and will accept more. “I will debate the issues with Tom Sannicandro any time, any place. In these critical times, the people of Ashland and Framingham deserve all of our time and attention," Fetherston said. Unfortunately, Sannicandro refuses to respond to community requests about debates. Enzo Rotatori, President of the Framingham Taxpayers Association, has spoken to a representative of Sannicandro’s campaign and sent several emails to the campaign. Fetherston Campaign Signs Stolen ... Again

The Committee to Elect Jon Fetherston to the 7th Middlesex District Representative seat said more than 20 signs, at $8.54 each, were stolen this month; signs were stolen last month too.

Another 21 Jon Fetherston signs for state representative have been stolen this week. The signs were stolen in Ashland. Fetherston, who lives in Ashland, is a Republican challenger to State Rep. Tom Sannicandro, who also lives in Ashland. The 7th Middlesex District seat represents Ashland and six precincts in Framingham. This is the second time a large amount of Fetherstone signs have gone missing. After the news coverage in early August, the thievery came close to a full halt. However, this was only a reprieve as some areas of Ashland have lost signs almost as quickly as they have been replaced, said Terry Hendrix, campaign manager for Jon Fetherston and a member of the Ashland Republican Committee. Hendrix said the Committee does not know…

Good luck with that....any Republican running for any office in this town has an uphill battle especially in a town that votes Democratic by default. They could get a monkey to run and it would get more votes than a Republican. Democrats vote by the party not by the qualifications of the person , and they seem good with that, and we wonder why the town is the way it is. Jim@ccfiile.com   more ›

LETTER: Lack of Character and Failure of Leadership on Beacon Hill

Jon Fetherston, a candidate for State Representative, spoke out against the culture of corruption on Beacon Hill yesterday, July 24.

Recent news stories detailing allegations concerning the trading of probation department jobs for political consideration are the latest in the sordid, recent history of Massachusetts House of representatives. The problems on Beacon Hill are many and the challenges confronting us are formidable, but working together we can overcome them. The first step in dealing with the many difficult issues we face is ending the culture of corruption on Beacon Hill. The culture of corruption infects all parts of state government and its effects are devastating to us all. It effects how much money the state has to spend to help the neediest of our neighbors and to help our towns serve the people. From the housing department in Chelsea to the education …

Mr. McIntosh, thank you for a chance to respond to your questions. The town manager left, for a better job in Burlington Ma. I played no part in that. He left one his own and left after I had left the Board of Selectmen. He had been looking for a new job for over a year. Did Mr. Petrin and I have our differences, yes, but we had a good working relationship and it is the Board of Selectmen's role …   more ›
