LIVE BLOG: October Special Town Meeting 2012 - Day 3

Special Town Meeting approved and appropriated $81,000 for Herb Chasan's Hoops & Homework proposal.

Special Town Meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 or when a quorum is reached. On tap tonight is a discussion and vote on a Hoops & Homework proposal and how to send $1.7 million in additional state aid. There have been letters to Framingham Patch that indicate that Town Meeting members will ask for $14,000 for the Framingham Library and $30,000 for Framingham Veterans. The Framingham Schools had original requested $899,000 but Superintendent Stacy Scott told the School Committee Monday night he has reached a compromise with the CFO to hav the schools receive $600,000. I can't seem to get out live blogging platform Cover It Live to work tonight with the wifi at Nevins Hall tonight - so I am blogging the old way tonight. 7:36 p.m. Moderator says George Lewis Precinct 18 was taken to the hospital with chest pains. Moderator says he is doing okay and is supposed to be released tomorrow. Sure. The other format tales longer to load, is too choppy with all of the time stamps and associated odd spacing. It makes it hard to skim. When you have more discretion, you tend to break up things in ways that make sense topically, instead of based on time. Integrated reader comments are distracting. I'd rather have the choice of scrolling down to read them.   more ›

Another question of serious concern is, are ALL these persons in this Adult ESL Plus program FROM and LIVE in Framingham? I really doubt it. So what would that tell me? They are saying they live in Framingham and are committing fraud. If you go over to that place on Thur night the parking lot is standing room only.
