Framingham Musician Headlined Concert at Carnegie Hall

The Framingham resident and Barbieri Elementary School parent, with his orchestra, performed at Carnegie Hall Sunday, as part of the famed-venue's family concert series.

Framingham resident Eguie Castrillo and his orchestra headlined a performance at Carnegie Hall Sunday, as part of the famed-venue's family concert series. Castrillo, a Grammy Award-winning musician, performed with his 18-piece orchestra at a show called Mambo Mania, which celebrates the passion of mambo music and dance. Castrillo, has performed at Carnegie Hall before but as part of the Arturo Sandoval's Big Band and as a guest with Tito Puente and Celia Cruz. This past weekend was his first time headlining at the hall. During his musical career, he also has performed with The Boston Pops, Jennifer Lopez, United Nations Orchestra and KC and the Sunshine Band.
