Dentist Suspends Practice Immediately; Discusses Charges Against Him

A Framingham pediatric dentist has turned over his practice to Cranberry Dental Associates, who will begin seeing patients effective tomorrow, Jan. 7.

Parents whose children still attend the practice of pediatric dentist Melvin Ehrlich, also known as Dr. Mel, received an email from him this weekend that he is suspending his practice immediately, while he defends himself against pornography charges.. Effective tomorrow, Jan. 7, "I have turned my practice, including orthodontics, over to Cranberry Dental Associates of Carver, Massachusetts who will be operating the business as Cranberry Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics. They will be making all decisions as they manage and fully operate the practice and will begin seeing patients immediately," wrote Ehrlich. Do You Agree With the Judge in the Pediatric Dentist Pornography Case?

A Framingham Court judge decided a pediatric dentist can continue to see patients while awaiting a court date on pornography charges.

A pediatric dentist with an office in Framingham was arraigned this week on charges of possession of child pornography for images allegedly found on his laptop computer, said Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone. Melvin A. Ehrlich, 52, of Millis, was arraigned today in Framingham District Court on charges of possession of child pornography (three counts) and distribution of child pornography (two counts).  He plead not guilty on the charges. The District Attorney's office requested that the defendant be held on $25,000 cash bail with the following conditions: commit no crimes, have no contact with children under 18, no unsupervised contact with his own child, no employment or volunteer work with children under 18, no computer or …

Judge: Pediatric Dentist Can Continue To See Patients Despite Pornography Charges

Framingham District Court Judge Robert Greco released the Framingham pediatric dentist on $10,000 cash bail with conditions to commit no new crimes and no use of computer except at place of business for work-related purposes only.

A pediatric dentist with an office in Framingham was arraigned today, Dec. 27 on charges of possession of child pornography for images allegedly found on his laptop computer, said Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone in a press release. Melvin A. Ehrlich, 52, of Millis, was arraigned today in Framingham District Court on charges of possession of child pornography (three counts) and distribution of child pornography (two counts).  He pled not guilty on the charges. Dr. Mel is a creep, along time ago when my children were little I took them to see Dr. Mel. He had a unusual practice of making parents sit in the waiting room while he took your children in the back. I did not feel right about this and stopped seeing him immediately.   more ›

Framingham Pediatric Dentist Arrested After Child Pornography Discovered on Laptop

A Millis resident and Framingham pediatric dentist was arrested at his office and charged with five counts of child pornography Wednesday.

A pediatric dentist with an office in Framingham has been arrested for possession of child pornography following a collaborative and coordinated investigation by local, state and federal authorities, Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone said tonight in a press release. Melvin A. Ehrlich, 52, of Millis, was arrested Wednesday, Dec. 26 in Framingham by Framingham Police and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office. Ehrlich faces charges of possession of child pornography (three counts) and distribution of child pornography (two counts).
