Passover Recipe Ideas For This Year's Seder

Here are some tasty recipes to try this week when you give up chametz.

The first Passover Seder is tomorrow night, March 25 and for Jews everywhere that means giving up chametz, also known as leaven, which is any food that is made of grain and water that is allowed to rise. This can be a difficult thing to avoid when trying to prepare meals, but luckily for you, Framingham Patch has put together a list of delicious recipes that you can enjoy even if you don't find the afikomen. Ingredients: Instructions: Pour farfel in bowl, cover with cold water to soften and drain. Beat yolks, add sugar, salt, melted margarine. Pour into farfel and mix. Beat whites stiff, fold whites into farfel mixture. Peel and slice apples and add to farfel mixture. Grease 9x13 dish. Bake 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Cut into squares. Use…

Framingham Town Election 2013 Calendar

The town's annual election is typically the first Tuesday in the month of April, but in 2013 it was moved to Tuesday, April 9 to accommodate the Jewish holiday.

The town's election season has begun. Last month, Framingham School Committee member Adam Blumer told Framingham Patch he would not seek a third term. Last week, School Committee member Heather Connolly announced she would seek re-election, and Town meeting member Eric Silverman declared his candidacy for Framingham School Committee. There are two 3-year School Committee seats open in 2013. Both Selectman Charlie Sitisky and Ginger Esty have pulled nomination papers for re-election to the Framingham Board of Selectmen.
