Do You, Like Obama, 'Think Long and Hard' About Football?

Junior Seau's family is suing the NFL and President Obama says that, if he had a son, he would think twice before letting him play football.

The issue of concussions in football is back in the forefront of people’s minds now that: In an article released on Jan. 27, President Obama told The Republican, I'm a big football fan, but I have to tell you if I had a son, I'd have to think long and hard before I let him play football...I tend to be more worried about college players than NFL players in the sense that the NFL players have a union, they're grown men, they can make some of these decisions on their own, and most of them are well-compensated for the violence they do to their bodies. You read some of these stories about college players who undergo some of these same problems with concussions and so forth and then have nothing to fall back on. That's something that I'd like to…

My opinion about football at the adult level is this: I saw Wes Welker get head butted twice during the playoffs directly in front of the referee and neither hit was called. The referee should be fined just as the football player should be fined, heavily. Until they get serious about it the dirty players will continue to do it and the refs will continue to let it slide.   more ›

Memo Shows Obama Administration Granted Deportation Stay to President’s Uncle

ICE originally required Obama's uncle to report to its Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations in Burlington on April 12; and then chose not to deport the illegal immigrant, who had been living in Framingham.

Judicial Watch, an organization that investigates and fights government corruption, has obtained records from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) regarding President Obama’s illegal alien uncle, Onyango Obama, who was arrested in August 2011 on drunken driving charges in Framingham. Onyango was first ordered out of the country in 1989. ICE had granted him a stay of deportation effective until June 5, 2012. The stay was granted to allow him to attend pending criminal proceedings and to seek reopening of his deportation proceedings, which concluded before the Board of Immigration Appeals on January 29, 1992. In March, Obama admitted to  a judge in Framingham District Court prosecutors had enough evidence to convict him. Immigration and…

“Deus ouviu minhas preces. Minha filha merece ter um futuro melhor. Graças a Deus esse dia chegou.” Em Sherborn, Paulo Pereira, um técnico de …

POLL: Obama to Stop Deportations of Young Illegal Immigrants

President Obama announced Friday a stay on deportations for younger illegal immigrants, brought here as children, who do not pose a threat to public safety. A good idea? Tell us what you think.

UPDATED with quotes from President's live speech. The Obama Administration will no longer deport young illegal immigrants who pose no threat to public safety, according to a position revealed Friday. The administration also will begin granting work permits for some Dream Act-eligible students. Some 800,000 people are expected to be eligible, as first reported by the Associated Press on Friday morning. The policy change will apply to young undocumented immigrants who entered the U.S. as children. It would follow the same lines as the Dream Act, a decade-old bill that passed in the U.S. House but failed in the Senate in 2010.
