UPDATE: Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Route 9
A 21-year-old girl was struck and killed on Friday evening.
A 21-year-old girl died after being struck on Route 9 Friday night, according to police. The girl was crossing from Maynard Road to College Street, and made it halfway when she was struck in the eastbound lane, thrown into the westbound lane, where she was hit again. The scene is under investigation. Original post: Early reports indicate that a pedestrian was struck and killed on Route 9 (near 1063 Worcester Rd.) in Framingham on Friday evening. This is a horrible tragedy that has happened and my thoughts go out to all of Colleen's friends and families. But the truth is that she shouldn't have been crossing there. If students want to cross Rte 9 they should do so at the pedestrian bridge.
